There are so many things to do here that even full time inhabitants like us don't get to experience them all. That's good news for us and you because we keep finding new things to do and tell you about. We'll let you in on what the locals are up to. California has a rich variety of fruits and vegetables. If your stay is long enough, visit an outdoor farmer's market. They are a feast for the eyes and the body. To find a farmers' market in the town in which you will stay, click on Find a Market on the California Federation of Certified Farmers' Markets home page, and enter the name of where in California you would like to find a market. They give you all the information you will need to put a trip to a local farmers' market in your itinerary. Don't be afraid to ask the vendors for samples! Kai and I discovered the pluot last summer.
