As a child, I never had the opportunity to leave my home state. California is a beautiful place to live (and travel), but I longed for the unknown. Now that I have a child, I want him to experience what I dreamed of when I was his age. Adventure!

One of the most important lessons I have learned as a parent is to do things I like doing with my child instead of forcing myself to do things just because I think Kai will like them. What I have found is that if I enjoy doing something, he usually has a great time doing it with me, and we both get to have fun.
